my spoo has too much fleem
LOL
just saw this posted to a
moblog, made me laugh :)
Origami
Just saw something on
slashdot about an Origami convention... and somehow I ended up
here. This stuff is incredible, a million miles away from the water bomb I made at school, or the cool
concorde I made very badly to commemorate it's last flight.
moblog
Not satisfied with the plain old weblog, and fed up of my phone filling up with pics, I've setup a
moblog to display the stuff I see and snap on my z600.
Waxy.org :: InfocomBot for AOL Instant Messenger
Need to try this out tonight, I'll let you know how I got on...
Waxy.org Daily Log InfocomBot for AOL Instant Messenger: "If you have an AOL Instant Messenger account, send an IM to InfocomBot, InfocomBot2, or InfocomBot3. I set up an automated bot to play classic Infocom text adventure games from your favorite IM client, T-Mobile Sidekick, or any other device that connects to AIM. It supports save and restore commands so you don't need to lose your place."
Telemachus and HTTP
Cowpimp's site (the provider of my gmail intro) pointed me here:
Telemachus and HTTP :: Kalsey Consulting Group: "[The story of] Telemachus walking across Asia and Europe to get to Rome, where he climbed into the floor of the Colosseum and demanded that the gladiators stop their fighting."
Very funny :)
Return from Arkansas
Arkansas : The Natural State
Better late then never, I made it home.
Fort Smith International airport was quite the most extraordinary airport I've ever visited.
None of that uncomfortable utility furniture here, if you need to take a load off, you sit on the sort of comfortable, high-backed chairs my gran used to watch the world go by from her sheltered housing.
The toilet cubicles hid another luxury. The push of a button beside the toilet caused the plastic sheath covering the toilet seat to 'scroll' and be replaced by fresh plastic. No need to squat.
Some of the comfy high-backs even made it in here incase you felt like tarrying a while in the gents.
The hotel was indeed wireless enabled, and very comfortable. With the air-conditioning maxed to help us deal with the 90F plus temps, it felt like working in a very comfortable server room. I must admit however to never having considered actually sleeping in a server room. And so it was that I wakened the first night freezing atop my bed, and struggled to get back to sleep with the din of the aircon.
As a software developer I have to keep a lot of stuff in my head all at the same time. In the process of juggling all that stuff I often forget interesting things. Not any more. Now I'll just post them here. This way we all win: I don't forget stuff; you don't forget or miss stuff. The Marketeers at my work would refer to this as Win-Win.
